We fix what's broken, fast, and we don't disappear after the invoice. Priority scheduling available across Round Lake and the surrounding zip codes.
No automated menus for emergencies — a real person handles the call.
Ask as many questions as you want; we'd rather over-explain than leave you unsure.
If anything feels off after we leave, a follow-up call gets a technician back out to make it right.
Leonard HVAC didn't start as a franchise chasing volume. Our crews carry manufacturer certifications across the major residential and commercial equipment lines.
You won't find us buried under layers of call-center scripts — we're the crew that answers the phone at 2am when your furnace quits in the middle of a cold snap. Licensing and insurance aren't optional line items for us, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, residential or commercial.
We know which neighborhoods run on older ductwork and which subdivisions were built with newer high-efficiency systems. That local knowledge shapes how we diagnose problems — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Trust in this industry gets eroded fast, and it takes real consistency to earn it back. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. Every dispatcher, every technician, and every follow-up call is held to the same standard, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Round Lake is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
When you call +1-866-805-8548, you're talking to someone who understands the local permitting process, the common equipment brands installed in Round Lake homes, and realistic scheduling given local demand. We keep parts inventory stocked based on what actually fails most often on Round Lake's housing stock.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
Breakdowns rarely happen at a convenient time, which is exactly why our emergency line runs 24 hours a day. Our Round Lake dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
If a specialty part genuinely does need to be ordered, we'll set up a safe temporary fix and give you a real timeline instead of leaving you guessing.
An aging system that's constantly breaking down usually costs more to keep patching than to replace. We walk Round Lake homeowners through efficiency ratings and how they translate into real monthly savings before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
Most installs in Round Lake are completed in a single day, and we walk you through the new thermostat and any app controls before we leave.
Downtime in a commercial space costs money every hour a system is offline. Our commercial division services rooftop units and package systems across Round Lake, with service agreements built around your operating hours.
Property managers working with multiple Round Lake locations can set up a standing account so every site gets consistent service history and pricing.
Most emergency breakdowns start as a small, ignorable warning sign months earlier. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle duct cleaning and sealing to stop conditioned air from leaking into attics and crawlspaces for Round Lake households that want more than just temperature control.
A tune-up typically takes under an hour and covers the checkpoints most likely to catch a problem before it becomes a breakdown.
Guarantees only mean something if a company actually honors them, so here's exactly what ours covers.
If the same issue returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no additional labor cost.
Emergency dispatch never comes with a hidden surcharge sprung on you after the fact.
If anything feels off after we leave, one call gets a tech back to your Round Lake address.
Catching these signs early usually means a same-day repair instead of an emergency call at the worst possible moment.
Ignoring new noises is one of the fastest ways to turn a small repair into a major one.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A tune-up often identifies exactly what's driving the extra energy use.
This is one of the warning signs we recommend not waiting on.
A musty smell often points to mold or moisture buildup somewhere in the ductwork.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
You'll know the cost before a wrench touches your system.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
Parts and labor are backed by warranty terms explained in plain language.
Our techs recognize brand-specific quirks instead of learning your system on the job.
We explain what failed, why it failed, and what the options are.
We'll walk you through what's actually available before you decide.
A snapshot of the feedback that keeps us accountable.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. No pressure to buy a whole new system when a repair was all we needed."
"Signed up for the annual plan after our first repair and it's paid for itself already. Never once felt like I was being upsold on something I didn't need."
"Had a full system replacement done and it was the smoothest home project I've had in years. Followed up a week later just to check everything was still running fine."
"Commercial dispatch was quick and the tech understood our system without needing to be walked through it. Kept our kitchen running through the weekend rush."
"The estimate matched the final invoice exactly, down to the dollar. Installation crew was in and out in a day and left the space cleaner than they found it."
"The tech walked me through what he was checking as he went, which I really appreciated. This is the company I'm saving in my phone now."
After thousands of service calls across Round Lake, a handful of causes show up again and again.
Round Lake's seasonal swings put real stress on a system that isn't maintained regularly. Before the coldest stretch of the year, a heating system benefits from a full safety inspection, checking the heat exchanger, ignition system, and airflow to catch any issue that could turn into a no-heat emergency.
Clearing debris, leaves, and overgrown landscaping away from an outdoor condenser unit gives it room to breathe and keeps it running efficiently. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
We also service package units common on manufactured and modular homes throughout the Round Lake area. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
Every tech on our Round Lake roster goes through background checks, licensing verification, and ongoing manufacturer training.

We understand a full system replacement is a significant expense, which is why flexible payment options exist.
Systems that run harder due to heavy year-round use may benefit from more frequent check-ins.
Beyond basic safety checks, it's best to leave diagnosis to a licensed technician rather than attempting a repair yourself.
Our pricing is explained clearly before dispatch, and any after-hours consideration is communicated upfront — never as a surprise on the final invoice.
More involved repairs, like a coil replacement or a refrigerant leak repair, take longer and the tech will give you a realistic estimate before starting.
Let dispatch know ahead of time if access will be handled differently than a standard homeowner visit.
Housing stock varies a lot across Round Lake — older homes often still run original ductwork that needs different care than the sealed, high-efficiency systems going into newer builds.
